Haiti Has A New First Lady

CaribWorldNews, PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, Thurs. Dec. 9, 2009: Haiti`s President, Rene Preval, has given the nation a new first lady.

She is Elisabeth Debrosse Delatour, the widow of former central bank chief Leslie Delatour. The two were married in a private ceremony at her home above Port-au-Prince on Sunday morning, reports indicate.

Preval, 66, was divorced twice. He has two adult daughters.

Debrosse Delatour Preval is also the President`s economic adviser. She previously worked for an electrical utility and a road contractor.
